PREMISE
Welcome to Accepted University!
Admissions Department

This Game Is Now A Sandbox. Anyone Can Join And Play.

Dear Student:

Welcome to the beginning of your time as a student at Accepted University! As Director of our outstanding Faculty, I want to tell why I think you’ve made a great choice to join us.

At Accepted we offer you a truly integrated core curriculum through which you will start to think about how key areas of knowledge work together and can be applied to the real world in which you will live and work. In our core curriculum these aren’t just dry and isolated subjects. That makes Accepted’s core more challenging—but also much more valuable. The small number of majors we offer at Accepted are at the heart of so many areas of calling, career and life.

Some of you will dedicate yourselves to being influencers in Media, Culture and the Arts, others will delve into Religious and Theological Studies or English, and still others will specialize in Business or Finance. These are the kinds of majors that will prepare you to make a real difference in the universe. To these majors you can add a wide variety of minors and concentrations to broaden the skills and connections you are developing.

The ways we approach your education and combine it with real-universal-experience offer students life changing opportunities. Here, every moment of every day, you will see played out the impact of knowledge. Success at Accepted University, like success in our world, does not come easy. But we will work with you to achieve that success. We can’t wait to see you here as you embark on this adventure with us and with each other.

Best Regards,
Director of Admissions

Accepted is a panfandom alternate universe focused game with elements of horror, science fiction, comedy, and slice of life. Students are pulled from their universes to live at a college where they are expected to take classes and work towards achieving their degrees. They are also required to attend monthly faculty-run study programs where students are transplanted into temporary alternate universes - they will live, work, assimilate, and then bring back important data for collection. Characters are given first class tickets back home after completing their four year degree.

Appable Characters
Canon, original, canon aus, craus, and malleable protagonists are allowed. Characters that aren’t allowed are genderswap aus or player created aus. Minor characters need to have at least eighty percent canon to work from in order to be appable.

Number of Characters
Players are allowed to app two characters at a time and play up to four characters in the game.

Humanization
This isn’t required to play in the game but players may humanize their characters if it will help them fit within the setting. All changes have to be noted on the application and character journal.

Fandom OCs
We are not currently accepting Fandom OCs.

Player Age
All players must be over the age of 18 to play in the game.

Dead Characters
Characters that are dead in their canon will wake up in the game setting with their accepted letter and no injuries whatsoever.

Cast and Game Caps
There is a cast cap of ten per cast but currently no game wide cap. If this changes we will let the players know and update the information here.

Game Elements
Horror, Comedy, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Mature, and more.

Character Changes
All characters are given an acceptance letter and transported to the college on the day before school starts for the year. Characters are suddenly physically between 18 and 22. Players have the option of leaving their character as they are, or altering their pb to better suit the setting. For example, a character that looks to be roughly eighty years old would now look to be college age. If a player chooses to change the character's appearance they will need to put that information on their journal in the info post.

Character Ages
All characters have to be sixteen and older to be appable in the game. This is due to the nature of the physical changes and alterations that come with it.

Mature Content
This game allows mature content. Players only need to lock and mark their posts.

Locked Comms
Our comms will not be locked.

Memory Loss
Events may feature memory loss elements but the game does not have it as a major point.

Powers
Characters keep their powers. We only ask that players do not break the game.

Characters canon updating will either be sick in the medical building or 'go home' for a family visit. Canon updates last three days OOCly and ICly one day.

Details are discussed between the mods and players.

They can't be stacked back to back or be taken more than once every six months. If there are extenuating circumstances, contact a mod and discuss the situation.

Details are discussed between the mods and players.

Game Schedule
The game runs on a 1:1 IC ratio and is EST. Dates are on the calendar.

Info Post
All players need to have an info post on their journal. The code is here and will have areas for players to put information on any physical changes the character went through. It will be linked on the taken page as well.

Activity Check
Activity is once a month, at the beginning of the month. Players submit a link ( or two ) of ten comments from their character plus the link ( of any length ) to a thread that is set during or relates to that month's event. This shows the mods that players are engaging in the events as well as utilizing the game for their own fun!

Housing

More Information Here

All dorms come with a laundry room on the basement level and a common area on each floor. Each hall has four floors plus the basement and is separated by grade year. Freshman on the first, Sophomore on the second, and so on. There are two elevators just past the front desk and across from the mailboxes. At the end of each hall is a set of stairs. Student IDs are needed to access the dorms and only work where that student is assigned.

Locations

More Information Here

Accepted University came into being in 4057, with its galaxy renowned Toney House opening its doors in 5012. The grounds were conceived by architect Phillipa Barls to bear resemblance to an Earth University of West Virginia design. Forgoing the more popular Collegiate Gothic aesthetic, the buildings were rather Neo-Georgian in style, with impressive red-brick structures such as Ferrell and Hamblin Halls setting the tone. Topped with an eye-catching clock tower, Ferrell Hall was erected in 4058 and remains a centerpiece of the grassy Quad. Another attractive feature is the 26-acre campus’ pond, where cherry trees bloom in late spring, adding further natural beauty to an already lovely spot.

There is a 'force-field' that keeps characters from getting off campus at first. The reason for this is to keep the setting very focused and allow characters to get settled as the game begins. After the setting opens, which will be updated on locations, it will show that the campus is set in a quaint city with places for characters to work, live, and play while still having the campus at the center. Characters that do want to live off campus have to have been in the game for a month and have a job prior to commenting to the housing page for it.

Technology
The technology in at the university is very advanced. Computers are touch-screen and learn their users within minutes for the best possible experience. Each student is given a device when they receive their orientation kit.

Jobs
Characters can have jobs if they decide that they can manage them along with their course work. They can be anything typical or standard on a campus ( bookstore, desk worker, library aid, food court staff, etc. ) and players can do anything they want with their jobs ICly. Wages are low but students don't have anything to pay for.

Orientation Kit
- Device
- Student ID
- Orientation Spending Credits

Student IDs
Each student ID has the characters name, true age, and awkward photo. Each building has a small black box by the door that the student must pass their card over in order to get inside. Student dorms will only open for the ID if the student is registered living there. Otherwise, students will have to ask for entrance and have a student inside come down to sign them in. IDs also are used to access private lockers, computers, the field around campus ( once characters have lived on campus for a month the ID will automatically update to allow them off campus ), and store their spending credits. Each month the ID cards are updated with enough credits to buy them three meals a day in the food court, wash their clothing in the laundry facilities, and a little extra for vending machines.

Transportation
Them feet. On campus the only transportation is walking but accommodations can be made for those that need it.

Language Barriers
There are no language barriers unless noted on an event.

Network and Devices
The device is paired to the Network where students can make public and anon posts to the rest of the college. The faculty can read the posts unless marked otherwise.

TRACKER
Stories of imagination tend to upset.
- Terry Pratchett

Hey! I had a couple of questions. If characters want to get jobs on campus is that going to be a thing? Also, is off campus living an option? I was also curious about the campus itself. Will characters be able to leave campus and go around as they choose? Or are they stuck there somehow? Thank you!

Is there an option for an undeclared major or suggesting other majors?

Thanks!
